Communications and Office Management Intern


Little Sun GmbH is searching for a Communications and Office Management Intern to support our team! The paid internship is (ideally) full-time and runs for 5–6 months, beginning in August/September 2013. We are especially interested in hearing from students who will complete an internship as part of their studies, though being a student is not a requirement.

Little Sun GmbH is a start-up and social business founded by artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen that is active in the areas of sustainable energy and trade. Eliasson and Ottesen developed the Little Sun solar-powered lamp as an important first step in a long-term plan to get clean, affordable light to the 1.6 billion people worldwide without access to electricity. Little Sun is a work of art that works in life.

We are looking for an intern who will support us in the following areas:
  • Preparing press and media materials
  • Handling press-related questions and requests
  • Maintaining the photo and text archives as well as the database
  • Assisting in the maintenance of our online shop and with logistics
  • General organisational and administrative tasks
Interested applicants should meet the following qualifications:
  • Familiarity with PCs and the Microsoft Office suite, ideally also with Photoshop and InDesign
  • An affinity for art and culture, and an interest in social business
  • The ability to work independently and reliably, with a willingness to perform daily organisational tasks
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and an eagerness to learn
